Andrew J McKiernan
Biography
Andrew J. McKiernan is a Sydney based author and illustrator. He is the current Art Director for Aurealis magazine and a founding editor of HorrorScope webzine.
His illustrations have appeared in Aurealis, and Orb Speculative Fiction and he was a featured illustrator in 2005's "Australian Speculative Fiction: A Genre Overview". Recent illustrations have appeared in the Eneit Press anthology 'In Bad Dreams' and 40 black & white plates will feature in "Shards: Forty Short Sharp Tales", forthcoming in 2008 from Ticonderoga Publications.
His first published story "Calliope: A Steam Romance" appeared in 'Shadow Plays' anthology'. Future stories are scheduled for 'Macabre: A New Era in Australian Horror', Black Box and Shadowed Realms webzine, Aurealis magazine and the 'In Bad Dreams Volume 2' anthology.
He writes a regular column 'Black Roads, Dark Highways' for Black: Australian Dark Culture magazine.
